Lambert's Macaroni & Tomatoes

1 16oz. box macaroni
3 cans stewed tomatoes
1/2 cup sugar

In a large pot, cook macaroni according to directions.
Drain. Place in medium sized pot. Add stewed tomatoes
and sugar. Heat through.

Serves 6-8.

I visited this restaurant for the first time this weekend.This dish was one of my favorites.I live in Mississippi.The experience was awesome.I will visit again when ever I am traveling in that direction.

where are the green peppers (bell peppers I think) that is in the macoroni and tomatoes. also there is just a hint of heat to the dish.

I live in Sikeston, MO about 1 mile from Lambert's. This is definitely my favorite pass-around. I make this dish at home quite often. It freezes well, too.

The canned stewed tomatoes have green peppers,onions and celery in with them.
